Clayton “Tersh” McCracken III, MD, FACOG
MOMS Medical Director
Dr. McCracken attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. He joined Billings Clinic in 1992 after completing his internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati. He has served as the Medical Director of the Billings Clinic Family Birth Center and is active with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the Montana Medical Association. Dr. McCracken’s areas of interest include high risk obstetrics.

James C. Hinshaw, MD
Obstetrics and Gynecology
James C. Hinshaw, MD attended his undergraduate education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas before attending medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Hinshaw completed his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine- Wichita/Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He’s been a board-certified OB/GYN since 1990 and joined Billings Clinic Miles City in 2019.

Diane D. Goedde, NP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Diane D. Goedde, MSN, APRN attended her undergraduate education at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming and Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. She went on to attend graduate programming at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Ms. Goedde has been with Billings Clinic since 1992 and currently serves as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the Billings Clinic Psychiatric Center. She started an obstetrics integrated-behavioral health clinic in 2007 and continues to serve as the primary psychiatric provider for this venture. Ms. Goedde recently published Depression Outcomes From a Fully Integrated Obstetric Mental Health Clinic: A 10-Year Examination, which is available for rent/purchase through the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Dax Rice, PharmD, BCPS-Neonatology
Inpatient Pharmacist
Dax Rice, PharmD, BCPS- Neonatology completed his undergraduate education at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. He then attended the University of Wyoming- School of Pharmacy where he became a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2009. Mr. Rice completed his pharmacy residency at Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 2012. Mr. Rice serves as the Inpatient Neonatology/Pediatrics/Labor & Delivery Clinical Pharmacist at Billings Clinic. His practice interests include: neonatal and pediatric nutrition; pharmacy practice research; development of pharmacy services; and information systems and their application to neonatal, pediatric, and maternal units.

Jessica Halgren, RNC-OB
Childbirth Education Coordinator, Registered Nurse
Jessica Halgren, a certified obstetric inpatient nurse (RNC-OB), has been the Childbirth Education Coordinator at Billings Clinic since 2015. To better serve this population of the community, she became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE). She is also a LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) nurse at the Family Birth Center at Billings Clinic and has been for 9 years, allowing her the amazing opportunity to be a small part of such a pivotal experience for families. Her nursing education was completed at Brigham Young University – Idaho in 2010. Jessica and her husband, Zach (a family nurse practitioner), call Montana home and returned in 2013 to continue working and growing their family. They now have acquired the titles of the “Halgren-Family-Team-Managers” (sometimes “chaos-organizers”), having welcomed their 5th baby in 2021. Jessica has a passion for families, both professionally and personally. She feels immense gratitude to be able to call this passion her career, as a nurse, wife and mother. Jessica Halgren joined the MOMS team in 2021.


Josie Stokken, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Josie Stokken, PT, DPT received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2015. She has worked in outpatient clinics in Missoula and currently in Lewistown, MT. She owns Restorative Physio and specializes in women’s and men’s pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and oncology. As a mother of two, Josie is a strong advocate for prenatal and postnatal care. Josie is passionate about educating and empowering mothers with great tools for a strong and healthy pregnancy as well as a safe, progressive return to exercise and other activities in the postpartum journey.
